Healthcare
We can move toward Healthcare for All that makes sense for America and keeps America healthy – both physically and economically.
Healthcare for all Americans is a goal that will improve the entire medical system. Eventually the insurance, pharmaceutical, and medical industries will have to be managed in order to bring costs under control.
The Pew Research Center found that 60% of Americans believe the federal government is responsible for ensuring health care coverage for all Americans, while 39% say this is not the government’s responsibility - though even that group believes government programs like Medicare and Medicaid should continue.
Deedra believes in listening to the will of the people and working towards short-term and long-term solutions that will:
-
Lower premium costs
-
Improve accessibility
-
Safeguard care for those with preexisting conditions
-
Ensure reproductive health services for women
-
Include mental health and substance abuse programs
-
Expand Medicaid and protect Medicare.
Every industrialized country in the world, including capitalist countries, has figured out how to provide their citizens with healthcare. Medicare and Medicaid are only two examples of current programs that could be successfully tweaked and expanded to include all Americans.
Just reducing duplicate administration costs, unnecessary advertising, and corporate welfare would allow us to move toward Healthcare for All that makes sense for America and keeps America healthy – both physically and economically.
